Do you want to work in an administration where communication truly makes a difference?
At the Department of Technology, you will contribute to creating clear communication on issues related to water, traffic, transport services, waste, recycling, broadband, and outdoor environments for our residents.
We are now looking for a communicator – come and work with us!
The role of the communicator with us
As a communicator, you take a holistic perspective and work both strategically and operationally with communication for the municipality. We work closely with our residents to develop our city, and as a communicator, you are part of that work. You and your closest colleague provide advice and support to managers and employees on communication issues, plan initiatives based on the organization's goals, and manage ongoing incoming assignments. You will be part of a municipality-wide communication network aimed at strengthening digital communication for ONE Kungsbacka. The work includes, among other things:
- producing, processing, and quality-assuring text, images, and film, as well as digital publishing on intranet, website, and social media
- developing and implementing communication plans and campaigns, e.g., on waste sorting and sewage management
- updating accessible information within the department
- developing and implementing strategic communication for organizational development, projects, and municipality-wide initiatives
- leading creative idea work and formulating message platforms
- writing news, press releases, and formulating crisis communication
Your profile
We are looking for someone who can work independently and flexibly, who can identify communication needs but also take orders from others. In this role, you will need to publish text and images in our various channels and support managers and employees in crisis communication. We consider it essential that you have an interest in waste and recycling since a large part of the work relates to these areas. You express yourself very well in Swedish, both spoken and written, as this is required in daily work.
As a person, you have the ability to drive and organize your work for the benefit of the organization. You are also good at collaborating and performing tasks in the communicator network. You are unpretentious and attentive. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
We are looking for someone who has:
- a university degree in media and communication studies or other work experience deemed equivalent by the employer
- work experience in communication in a larger organization where you have worked strategically and operationally to produce channel-adapted content for different target groups
- experience in the area of visual communication such as photography, film, and presentation technology
- work experience with Adobe software and the Office suite
- work experience utilizing social media for communication
It is an advantage if you have:
- work experience in crisis communication and its interplay with the media
- work experience in communication within public operations
- work experience in graphic design
- work experience in how AI can be used as a support in communication work, in a way that is consistent with current regulations and ethical guidelines
- knowledge of regulations regarding digital accessibility and GDPR – you know what is required to meet the requirements when photos, text, or documents are published on the web or social media
